Shoe: Cold Shoe and Hot Shoe, both relative to the flash. Cold has the meaning of non-conductivity, and hot means conductive.

Cold Shoe is capable of inserting the light pins without information exchange and signal transmission. Some plastic bases such as the flash are the Cold Shoe.

Hot Shoe: Some people also call the dovetail slot.
